New Zealand Experience: 09 Nights/ 10 Days

Day 01 - Arrive Christchurch

On arrival at christchurch Self-drive passengers collect your rental car for your exclusive use until the end of the tour package.     

Day 02 -Christchurch – West Coast Glaciers (450 Kms)

Self-drive passengers travel over the Canterbury Plains to Arthur’s Pass en route to Westland National Park.  

Day 03 - West Coast Glaciers (B)

A full day at leisure to enjoy the magnificent glaciers. Climb on to the slow moving river of ice or take a scenic flight (optional) for a bird’s eye view of this spectacular terrain.     

Day 04 - West Coast Glaciers – Queenstown (420 Kms) (B) 

Depart this morning through the South Westland Heritage Park and across the rugged Haast Pass and Lake Wanaka. This afternoon’s travel is through the Kawarau Gorge to reach Queenstown.

Day 05 - Queenstown

This is a free day to pursue your own activities. Queenstown offers jet boating, lake cruises, bungy jumping, rafting, horse riding, gondola rides and maybe a visit to the Sky Alpine Casino. 

Day 06 - Milford Sound Excursion (600 Kms)

Drive along Lake Wakatipu to Te Anau. Enter Fiordl and National Park and travel through beech forest, passing majestic mountains. On through the Homer Tunnel in time to board your catamaran for the Milford Sound cruise. You will pass Mitre Peak, the highest mountain in the world to rise vertically from the sea. View the Stirling and Bowen Falls as you cruise out to the Tasman Sea. Return to the pier where you re-board your coach for your return journey to Queenstown.   

Day 07 - Queenstown – Rotorua (BY Air) 

Self-drive passengers drive to Queenstown Airport to drop off the car before flying to Rotorua to collect another rental car to drive to the hotel.   

Day 08 - Rotorua (D) 

Today’s tour includes Te Puia and its Thermal Valley of roaring geysers, steaming rivers and boiling mud pools. Following this, you will travel to Rainbow Springs to view trout and other wildlife and to the famous Agrodome Sheep Show. The afternoon is free for optional tours. This evening enjoy a night of truly authentic, traditional culture and entertainment. Join in a time of sharing and feasting to as election of foods cooked the traditional Maori way on hot stones in an authentic earthen oven.   

Day 09 - Rotorua– Waitomo Caves – Auckland (370 Kms) 

Enroute to Auckland the highlight is a visit to the Waitomo Glow Worm Caves. This experience is climaxed by drifting silently in a boat on the underground river under the milky way of millions of glow worms on the cavern roof above you. Arrive in Auckland late afternoon.   

Day 10 - Depart Auckland      

Self-drive passengers return your car directly at the airport.
